DAY 2
Day 2: Stand Firm in Freedom.
Scot McKnight observes in Galatians 5:1, “We need to observe in Paul that ‘being free’ is personal and existential in the sense of being liberated to be what God wants us to be and to do what God wants us to do… in general, we might say that ‘being free’ is the liberation of a person’s spirit from everything that shackles it to sin and ugliness; ‘being free’ is to liberation of a person’s spirit to do what God wants, to be what God wants, and to enjoy the life God gives us on this earth.”
Write out Galatians 5:1, three times. How would you explain Galatians 5:1 to a friend?
Leader Challenge: Encourage your group today to memorize Galatians 5:1 this week. See if your entire group can have this verse memorized by Sunday.
